Seventeen Weeks
Felt the baby move for the first time! It's the most wonderful moment because it really makes it all so real, brings it all home. I've felt him/her often since and love it each time. I find myself holding my belly more in hopes of catching that little movement. There's another little, adorable child in there who just has yet to make his presence visible. But the fun times (and crazy times) are just around the corner! Can't wait to meet you #2!

Eighteen Weeks
This week I've made the realization that we are going to have another adorable, sweet little one to love. I know, duh. But, I was focusing on how much more work would be involved, how much more time it will all take, etc. basically the negative. But I was reminded by a friends delivery and subsequent child how much of a heart-warming and exciting time it is. I am excited to meet our new one!

I also had a dream this past week that we had a boy. I haven't ever really had a notion one way or the other on what gender Drew would be and now what #2 will be. And I just think the dream was a coincidence. But, it may also be my brain's way of preparing myself for another little boy. We are seeing how active Drew is becoming, so when a second boy comes along we'll just have to embrace the chaos! And if we get a little girl, well, our family numbers would be very well-rounded. Of course, I do have my preference again this time. But que sera, sera!

Nineteen Weeks
Andrew and I celebrated our 6th Wedding anniversary this weekend. We took a mini-staycation and stayed downtown KC at a swanky place, ate some decadent food and laid around. (Drew stayed home this weekend.) We went to the Chiefs game on Sunday, which ended up being pretty exciting (except that they lost).

Anyway, I read somewhere that while being pregnant I can't have any wine or liquor, I certainly can indulge in anything else. Well, shoot! I don't need that kind of green light! But I have to admit I've had lots of fun saying things like, "Yes, a burger with everything on it please." or "Yes, a diet coke AND a chocolate milkshake please."

Twenty Weeks
Halfway to meeting the fourth member of our family already! A friend of mine (who is a couple weeks behind me in her second pregnancy) found out she is having another little boy. And another friend just recently had her second boy. I think that makes my odds of having a little girl good (in my own messed up logic sort of way). But Andrew said that the chinese conception calendar told him that we were having a boy. Unless we find out by accident at the sonogram on Monday, I have 20 more weeks to wait to meet our new little one.

It does excite me to have a little boy playmate for Drew though. I think it would be fun for him to have a little brother to get into mischief with.

Oh, and pregnancy brain is really taking it's toll this time around. From forgetting things constantly and not even knowing it, to overpaying the sitter. I'm calling myself "P Brain" for the obvious, as well as for 'pea-sized brain'.

We didn't find out-deliberately! But we got to meet our little cherub and see him/her for the first time. It's always very exciting, and I could lay there for hours looking at the screen - trying to catch of glimpse of a little nose or face. I'm getting more excited each day to have another sweet little teeny baby in our home. It goes so fast. Drew will be one next week already, so I want to appreciate and enjoy each moment with my littlest one as much as I can.
